Biography

Mr. Ashutosh Gupta carries an extensive experience and practice in Corporate Litigation of more than 10 years.

He holds the membership of Bar Council of Delhi, Delhi High Court Bar Association, Supreme Court of India Bar Association, National Company Law Tribunal Bar Association.

He has been practicing in Arbitration, Commercial and Corporate Litigation including Management & Shareholders’ Disputes, Restructuring and Reorganization, Mergers & Acquisitions, Insolvency and Bankruptcy before various forums. He holds experience in diverse area of practice comprising Infrastructure Projects, Power, Oil & Gas, and Real Estate etc. and has filed various PILs and Writs before High Courts and The Supreme Court of India.

Mr. Gupta has been presenting and arguing the core legal issues and involved in high stake matters before the Supreme Court of India, High Courts, National Company Law Tribunals/ Appellate Tribunal and before various other Tribunals and District Courts.

Apart from having been extensively involved in litigation, he has been rendering corporate-legal services by analysing transactions, conducting profound due diligence, providing advisories to Domestic as well as International Clients in relation to Investment, Finance, Private Equity, Restructuring. He holds years of experience in framing Contracts and Memorandum of Understandings for projects ranging from Finance to creation of Joint Ventures.

Mr. Gupta despite of having firm grip on litigation, assumes his role as an officer of the Court and realizing his duty, actively encourages the disputing parties to settle their Matter in extra judicial proceedings, mediation or negotiation. To pursue the objective, he often act as Arbitrator, Mediator and Diplomat in varied range of cases and thereby has successfully rendered services to Clients. Above everything else, Mr. Gupta, being firm believer of the Constitutional Principles, has never hesitated in rendering pro-bono services to the needy and poor class of society.

Mr. Gupta with his years of professional working experience has gained a market face value and become popular among teachings institutions. He has judged various Moot Court Competitions based on the Corporate Law, made presentations inter alia on Merger & Acquisition and participate in and speak at various events and conferences.
