Attorney - Ejaz Maqbool

Biography

Mr. Ejaz Maqbool is an Advocate practicing in the Supreme Court of India for last 36 years.

He studied in St. Xavier’s School, Patna, St. John’s School, Ranchi, St. Xavier’s College, Ranchi and Aligarh Muslim University.

He did his graduation in History (Hons.) and was awarded Gold Medal by Aligarh Muslim University. He also obtained his LL.B. Degree from Aligarh Muslim University.

He was elected the Vice-President of Aligarh Muslim University Students’ Union and represented the University in several debates in various Universities.

He passed his Advocate-on-Record examination of the Supreme Court of India in the year 1989.

He is a member of Delhi High Bar Association, Supreme Court Bar Association and International Bar Association, London.

He has appeared in a large number of Supreme Court cases. His name appears in more than 271 Reported Supreme Court Judgments. He has appeared in a large number of Public Interest Litigations and has espoused the cause of the poor and the deprived section of the society.

He has attended International Bar Association Annual Conferences in Singapore (2007), Buenos Aires (Argentina 2008), Madrid (Spain 2009), Vancouver (Canada 2010), Dubai (United Arab Emirates 2011), Dublin (Ireland 2012), Boston (USA 2013), Tokyo (Japan 2014), Vienna (Austria 2015), Washington DC (2016), Sydney (Australia 2017) and Rome (Italy 2018).

He is a widely traveled person and has visited the countries like Argentina, Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada, China, Croatia, Czech Republic, Egypt, France, Germany, Greece, Hong Kong, Hungary, Indonesia, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Kenya, Macau, Malaysia, Maldives, Morocco, Nepal, Netherlands, New Zealand, Oman, Qatar, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, South Africa, Sri Lanka, Spain, Switzerland, Thailand, Turkey, United Arab Emirates, United Kingdom, United States of America and Vatican City.
